Everything you need to know about writing a Tattle, how reviews are moderated, and your rights as a reviewer.
A Tattle is a review of a rental property, landlord, or letting agent written by a current or former tenant. It’s your honest account of what it was like to live there.
About 3 minutes. You enter your address, rate your experience across a few categories, and add any details you want to share.
No. You can start writing immediately. When you’re ready to publish, we’ll ask you to create a free account with your email address. This is solely for verification — we need to confirm you’re a real person. Your email is never displayed publicly. Once you accept our community guidelines, your tattle goes live straight away.

Yes. Your name, email, and any personal details are never displayed publicly. Other users only see the review itself, the property area (partial postcode), and your ratings.
No. We do not share reviewer identities with landlords, letting agents, or any third party. Your identity is protected.
We collect your email address (for verification and account management), the property address (to link the review to the correct location), and the review content you provide. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Before publishing, every user must accept our community guidelines. Once published, our community can report tattles that don’t comply with our standards. Our admin team reviews all flagged content and removes anything that violates our guidelines. We also run regular audits to maintain quality.
Landlords can flag reviews through their landlord portal. Our admin team will review the flag and may ask you to provide supporting details or clarification. We never remove a review simply because a landlord requested it — only if it genuinely violates our community guidelines.
Honest opinions based on genuine experiences are protected under UK law. As long as your review is truthful, you’re on solid legal ground. Avoid making claims you can’t substantiate, and stick to describing your own experience. Before publishing, you’ll accept our community guidelines which set clear expectations.
Reviews are removed if they contain hate speech, threats, or discriminatory language; include personally identifiable information about a landlord or agent (full names are acceptable for business entities, not private individuals); are clearly fabricated or written by someone who did not live at the property; or are promotional or spam content. Reviews that violate these standards will be removed when flagged by the community or identified in our regular audits.

You can flag a review through your landlord portal if you believe it violates our community guidelines. Our admin team will investigate. We don’t remove reviews for being negative — only for being dishonest or in violation of our community standards.
